A useful fit for

A candidate for a 12-foot body, 350-pound stated hammock limit, attached screen and the M68 stock double-wide hex fly.

The main tradeoff

Webbing and packed-weight claims conflict; the pad is separate and body capacity is not a whole-system rating.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is insect mesh part of this hammock body?

The exact Hennessy listing identifies attached mesh on the Jungle Safari Zip XXL M68. That screen is separate from rain coverage and under-body warmth.

Does this same offer include tree webbing?

The documented configuration supplies or pairs the hammock with TreeHugger webbing. Confirm its exact selected length and the seller package before ordering.

What body-size and capacity boundary does Jungle Safari Zip XXL M68 publish?

Hennessy lists the body length, 59-inch width and a 350-pound hammock-body limit for this model. Those figures screen an offer; they do not promise personal fit or rate the whole hang.

This assessment is for the Hennessy Jungle Safari Zip XXL, SKU M68, product 326803579. It is a source-led review of the manufacturer’s exact listing and product record, not a personal-use report or independent test. M68 is the green, large-format zip hammock package; the separate Jungle Safari custom builder omits its fly at the initial step and asks the buyer to select webbing.

An XXL body with a wide stock canopy

The manufacturer lists 144 by 59 inches of lower fabric, an XXL size, a seven-foot height limit, and a 350-pound hammock limit. The length is twelve feet of fabric, not a sleeping-span measurement or a promise of fit. The #10 double-slider side zipper and 30D No-See-Um mesh are part of the model description. Its two-layer bottom is advertised as holding the reflective pad on the correct diagonal; Hennessy names that pad as a separate purchase, so the hammock’s double bottom is not a ready-made warmth system.

For rain, M68’s page describes a double-wide hex fly and specifies 143 inches along its center line by 120 inches across. That is a large listed canopy, but “large” is not a storm test or an assurance against every wind direction. The page’s stock-package description includes a fly, ropes, sack and webbing. It also contains a webbing inconsistency: the specification row says two-inch by 72-inch webbing and the camouflage-specific copy mentions longer 72-inch straps, while the generic included-items paragraph says standard 42-inch webbing. Confirm the exact strap length in the live M68 package before relying on it for a particular tree.

Large-body figures are not whole-hang ratings

Hennessy’s 350-pound statement applies to the hammock body; it is not a capacity for every rope, strap, connector, anchor or tree in a completed setup. A two-person claim on a product page likewise should not be read as a comfort or shared-use test. The 59-inch fabric width does not establish clear sleeping space, and the seven-foot height limit does not guarantee a comfortable lay. Check the manufacturer’s setup instructions and each component’s own limits.

The product page gives a packed figure of 4 pounds 4 ounces / 1,904 grams before four ounces of webbing. Those values do not convert exactly, and the attached record’s numeric weight lacks a documented unit and contents basis. I therefore do not assign a settled carry weight or use the raw record value as evidence. This is a substantial hammock with a large canopy, not an ultralight configuration.

Choose between the fixed package and the builder

M68’s strongest case is a planned hang where its very long body, stated 350-pound limit, attached screen, and broad stock fly are wanted together. The custom Jungle Safari listing shares the same named body and capacity but begins without a rainfly; the builder instead offers 42-, 72-, or 96-inch webbing and optional model-matched fly and pad choices. The fixed M68 page’s fly and strap wording should be distinguished from that body-only builder. A separate standard Safari Deluxe M66 is not the same product code and has its own package record.

Before purchase, match the M68 SKU and verify the fly, included screen, selected webbing length and seller condition. Ask the manufacturer to clarify the 42-versus-72-inch webbing language if length is decisive. Plan ground insulation separately, inspect the actual anchors and support parts, and confirm current instructions and seller terms. A product photo or capacity figure cannot certify a safe campsite or substitute for an assembled-system rating.
